Awaiting the "Mediterranean plume", another dank grey day. Happy to retreat back to town for a pint. I've looked at this trig for so many years from Stalybridge Buffet Bar - so a nice last English one for before I grow another year older.

No 1/5. Parked in the Rising moon car park and gained access along Early Bank Rd. followed the PROW into the wood and headed directly up the bank to the two stand barbed wire fence, easy access through the fence and a stroll up to the pillar. A multitude of horses in the field looking very interested in somebody with a camera and GPS, so much so I was joined by two of them for the procedural logging event. Not a good day for visibility, weather declined somewhat after the partial eclipse this morning.
