Easy visit on a wet morning. Asked for permission at the club house and happily given. A brisk walk up the hill, would have been great views on a better day. Trig in pristine condition.

Our first trig on our first visit to The Isle of Man. Parked near the pro shop but couldn't find anyone to ask so just plodded up the (rather boggy) hill. My map-reading was about 80 m out on one co-ordinate, just 2 m on the other. Found the pillar quite easily, resplendent in a coat of white paint. Had a chat with a golfer on the way back down the hill, had to watch out for flying golf balls further down.

Dazzling ! This golf club definitely know how to care for their trig pillar.
Nice and clean.
The pillar on the golf course. Plenty of golfers around, they didn't appear to be bothered by my presence.
Not too steady with the paint brush !

Staying in Douglas for a couple of days aiming to bag a couple of trigs after 5 years away from the hobby. My plan for today was scuppered by sore legs after a long walk yesterday so I took a steady stroll up to this one, which I could see from my hotel bedroom on the sea front. The lady in the Pro Shop kindly allowed me to borrow a buggy for free to recce the golf course. Fab all round views. Snaefell clear today - just my luck!

Parked in the golf club car park and just started heading uphill until I spotted the trig. Only spotted one golfer, Trig in good condition, top filled in and still reasonably white, great view over Douglas and Onchan.

Parked at golf club and just walked up. Wet and windy weather ensured no golfers were on the course but weather was beginning to cheer up. Climbed with Jim Bloomer and Michael Earnshaw. This is a P71 hill and one of the Manx Fifth Finest.

vgc, no cap or plug, nice view over Duggie bay. Flock of Chough - which are pleasingly common on Mann. First trig of the trip, straight off the early ferry - not a golfer in sight :-) From E, gate, faint path up thru short heather / gorse.

Deliberately approached late in the day. Walked down from Onchan and met the golf course where the Way Of The Gull leaves the shoreline to follow the road. Gap between end house and poor fencing gives easy access. No ball belters about at this time of day (at this time of year). Trig is exactly where you expect it to be on the high point of the hill. Very well kept. Good views which the photos don't quite catch in the dusk. Returned to Onchan via straight towards the club house and a gap to the left of fencing gave access to the road. No cars, on foot!

I love the Isle of Man and loathe to give a poor score but unfortunately Manannen was, as a previous writer noted, up to his usual tricks and shrouded the course in mist. I was playing golf at the time and was amazed to find a trig sitting there. It's painted white (hard to see in the mist) and if about half way down the fairway on the third hole, on the left hand side. The mist cleared about an hour later and views to Douglas promenade were lovely. Not a bad round of golf, considering the conditions. And the ferry horn was blasting away every few seconds.
