Log #47. (196m). Bagged on 6.7 km, 2-trig walk from E Bierley to Birstall, via Hunsworth Hill and Moor Fields. Riding School has expanded to take in the whole side of the road and the the access is now very difficult. The hill is totally fenced off. It is pretty clear where the pillar was sited though. Even in todays low cloud, good views are to be had across the valleys. Emley Moor Mast visible and Castle Hill faintly in the mist. Score for the views

Killed, as and when who knows? The hill summit is, as others have said, directly behind the riding school (which isnt indicated on my 2006 map - or the farm directly across the road from it, both look a lot older that 4 years). Very horsey area! Good view towards Castle Hill (Huddersfield) and beyond.

The trig point was marked on the old OS map I was using but not on the new map I looked at on Streetmap.co.uk . My guess is it was removed in the building of a new nearby stable complex or got pushed the escarpment. I took a walk along the nearby footpath marked on the map to gain an extra vantage point but still failed to find any evidence of it. Reasonable views of the surrounding countryside though
