I actually found this quite an interesting location to visit. The hill has been completely recovered and it appears that they are now collecting gas from the decomposing buried waste. Views all around seem to be very good though it was all too grey today to appreciate them fully.

Waste of time this quick drive by now a landfill site no place to park nowt to see either and it smells definately loosing it to venture to this place.

Definitely gone I visited this trig on 01/03/1998 and it was still standing but on a very narrow pillar of sand I am not surprised it has gone

Waste Management site; dumper trucks working on edge of tip so didn't venture beyond the (gappy) fence. Gulls screeching and smell resembling burnt carpet.

Yes, the hole is big enough to take Manchester, let alone its rubbish! The yellow hats are still ferreting about and of the pillar there is no trace. As fasgadh says, it's still on the maps, however.

You Dig it - We fill it! Both a quarry, and a landfill site. Easy to get to within 80m and no sign of it other than a big hole with helmetted yellowjacketed Bob the Builder types lurking in it. Still on the maps.
