Parked on layby TQ664194 just west of Swan pub Walked east along road (no pavement, so wore high vis). Followed footpath towards sugar loaf and it's on the left.

On W side of a narrow track leading to the Sugar Loaf. Asphalt plug seals the central tube; RHS sight hole open, rear below gnd level so not determined. Views E. The nearby Sugar Loaf is a Grade II* listed conical hollow obelisk erected as a land mark by John Fuller (aka Mad Jack) of Brightling Park. Early C19.

Parked at nearby gateway and a short walk to the pillar. Pilar is in an hedge and has no views to mention. Well worth a visit to the "sugar loaf".

The view from the trig itself is limited (just bushes and the nearby Sugar Loaf) however there are good views in the nearby field.

Found the geocache first then logged the pillar! On footpath leading to Jack's Folly, so easy access. Ashphalt plug replacement. No paint. Sightholes closed or invisible. Concrete base exposed 2" on Fb side of pillar. No views.

A short walk up the footpath beside the football field, the entrance for which provides a handy parking place. Fuller's Folly adds interest to the visit.

Another short walk to an easily accessible T/P. This one is located at the side of a permissive path, close to the Sugar Loaf folly. Itís in reasonable condition but has had the centre plug replaced with what looks like tar-mac. No views to speak of but the folly is worth a visit. For those that are interested, this is YSM296.

Visited this along with one of the Fuller Follies, the Sugar Cone. There is some local conjecture as to whether it was built as a wager, as stated on the Cone's plaque, or as a benevolent act to alleviate unemployment.

It always nice to get a trig point next to a monument. In the hedge on a permissive footpath. The Sugar Loaf is supposed to represent Dallington Church spire and was the subject of a bet by Mr Fuller in the early 19th century. Concrete plug.
