Parked at a large gate entrance, just down from the trig. Jumped over a wall and fence and made our way up the divoted grassy hill. Awesome views over loch Awe(some).

Pillar in good condition still mainly white. Spider retains OS plug with raised large narrow weathered lettering. Back sight hole plugged, others open, pillar bolt viewable through side. FB faces SE, 150°. Tertiary station in Block NS29, Greenock. Completed 24th July 1956. Roadside parking 75m west of pillar, less than five minutes over rough grass to trig. Spendid views over Loch Awe. Photographed 29/09/2007, GRP.

vgc, metal cap, wide raised letters. Heather knoll, near-roadside: unusual hereabouts. Fine view of Cruachan and N part of Loch Awe.

Located on a small hill just off the B840 to the west of Ardbrecknish. Parked in a ‘Passing Place’ close by. Crossed a ditch, climbed over a wire fence and climbed the somewhat boggy hill to the trig point. Only 100 yards or so from the road. All the relevant metal parts are in place.
