Steepish walk up forest track then some bog paddling . Superb views and saw a submarine on Holy Loch.

Parked at layby near church and took the long track up to the Trig, Tough struggle up the steep slopes but the views are work the slog

Across the loch from home. Not sure how much you can see from here because the mist was down although judging by Rob's photo I ought to have been able to see home. Feet already saturated and five hours of walking to go.....

Approached from west. Parking in large layby outside church, NE side of A880 at NS165820. Followed mapped forest track/path network to NS188817 then attempted a direct route NW to summit. Very rough going with inconsistencies between different scales of maps. Blairbeg Hill / Kilmun Hill. Rough grassy top with embedded boulders. Pillar in good condition. Spider centre plugged with tar. Flush bracket faces ENE, compass reading 116°. Vented through SW sight hole. 360° panorama to surrounding hills and into distance. Descended via an easier unmapped path down eastern slope to pick up forest track around NS188821.

vgc, asphalt plug, grassy summit, fine views of fjord-like Loch Long & Clyde. From SSE, drove into forest expecting to find a car park - but nothing. Roughish track, parked due E of trig, followed S bank of burn thru mature sitka. Then ferry back to Gourock, and home.
