From Kindrogan East Lodge we took the (mapped )overgrown path to 055625 then left along forest track for 200 yards to a marker post. From here there is a clear grassy track following a dry stone wall. Go straight up ignoring all branch tracks. Eventually the track bears right and enters forest through clear gap in wall. Follow thro trees and out into open space then back into trees again. Climb out and trig is to the left off the track. Be careful to note where you leave the trees.

Sadly, the mapped path was non-existent. Made for an interesting descent.

Revisit for GPS reading and up to date photos. Bagged in conjuction with Tuliemet Hill, good free public parking at Enochdhu off SW side of A924. Approached from SW where old wall crosses track. Using 1:25K mapping, followed boundary wall ENE to just beyond bend then line of old boundary fence north which became a serious branch fight over older rotting downtakings for most of the way. Pillar in good condition. Spider retains original OS centre cap with raised large narrow letters. Flush bracket face southwest, compass measurement 243. Intermitent 360 view interrupted in several places by growing conifers. Descended via north then ENE trying to follow course of mapped path which is now lost to the windthrow from hell. Had to backtrack on several occasions before eventually finding an unmapped path much futher east at NO_05460_62087. This eventually led back to the mapped track network at NO056622.

I met some forestry guys who gave me permission to drive up to the lovely wee graveyard. Then I went back and forward along the path trying to find the track. I followed what I thought was the track but that turned out to be a deer path an d eventually it took me to the proper track just at the entrance to the forest. I hummed and hawed which way to go then spotted what I think was the correct route through the forest and found the correct track. Saw marker no 5 on my route then a little bit further marker no 7. That was the last I ever saw of the markers. I exited the forest at the cliffs and found a route up as I had no idea where the track disappeared to. Then I seemed to go around in a big circle and stumbled on a wall. Followed that until it crossed another wall and i went through a hole in it. Then I went around in a circle again but the arrow never decreased. I ended up just venturing into the woods and following deer tracks and every so often I would stumble onto that bloody wall again. Wasn't much fun on an absolutely pouring day. Eventually I entered a clearing and headed up hill as the numbers went down. Then I spotted that gorgeous lovely Bonnie wee trig. I've never been so happy to see a trig. I took the direct route down through the forest, cliffs, clearings, swamps and more forests until I stumbled on the track at the edge of the forest again and I could see the graveyard. Woo Hoo.

Made a diversion here whilst walking a large chunk of the Cateran Trail. This was an awkward climb with lots of uprooted trees to clamber over and a mostly boggy terrain. Pillar fine with cap in place (raised lettering) and all sight holes open. Continued 'over the hill' (suddenly had that John Martyn song in my head) to find a couple of tracks back to Kirkmichael.

Trig is in good condition, view is quiet good although it would have been stunning if there wasn't tree's. Getting here was rather difficult due to tree's blown down.
