I would hate to try this one in the summer! Previous loggers' advice about paths to the trig was very useful, but if all else fails, follow the fenceline until you're opposite the house to the right of the one with the loft extension, and you should find it. Being winter, the area was fairly clear of plantlife, though it did feel intrusive bagging this one, as the trig has a direct view into the house opposite from their rear windows. And a noisy canine onlooker didn't help! Took care to angle my camera away from the house. It's a really bizarre place for a pillar, too, not being anywhere near the summit. Still, it's in good condition, and isn't too difficult to bag in the winter.

An unlikely place and awkward to find but rewarding to do so and exactly as marked on the map! The Trig is in the public woodland but only a few metres away from a manicured lawn. The clue, as others say, is to find a V shape corner of woodland that is bounded by house fences and then look for a house with a blocky loft conversion and it's by the next house ( away from the point of the V. The woods are brambly with informal paths making the trig hard to spot until you are very close.

The trig was impossible to spot so when I eventually shouted to Mrs K that I had laid eyes on it I removed all the ivy from trig. If anyone wants to find this as soon as possible the hint here is to find the massive blue trampoline in the back garden as this is where the trig is. Be quick though as ivy will regrow quickly. As a previous finder has stated. This is a very satisfying trig to bag.

Thanks to the Cyclist for very helpful directions. Just to clarify - as s/he writes, you "will reach a gate into a garden in V of boundary fences". Then - "Turn back" - this means "turn back" the way you have come, back up the path - NOT along the line of the fences which separate the gardens from the scrub - and then twelve yards or so back up the path, it's left, slightly downhill, and the TP is deep in ivy, hard by the back fence of a house.

The scrub between the path and the pillar has recently been partly cleared to make for relatively easy access compared to the visits of others. The site was reached by a very indirect but very pleasant route from the Coombe Dingle car park of the Blaise Castle Estate. The houses mask any view the pillar once possessed. Some of the suburbs of Bristol come into view a little higher up.
