Log #408. Had a go at the Knockhill trig, but the track was well guarded by a herd of cows that were not interested in moo-ving, so came here instead. Parking adjacent to trig, good views. Damage to rear and top, cap plugged. [ExP-279/MiP-34/Rev-6/BM-27/IS-43/Other-19]

Fine views through the rain; I noticed East End Park, recently visited. Pillar damaged as others have reported; cap is asphalt filled, and one sight-hole open.

This has to go in the top 10 easy trigs to bag, not so lucky with the nearby geocache which I couldn't find! As previously stated trig damaged with sizeable chunk knocked off one top corner and side.

Easy roadside find next to telephone mast, with carpark and bench. Trig damaged with sizeable chunk knocked off one top corner and side. Cap missing and asphalt pug fitted. Good views south over Forth and to Knockhill. Trig blocked directly in front by overgrown shrubs.

Damaged pillar standing on a prominent highpoint on the outskirts of Dunfermline. Layby immediately beside the pillar, so easy bag! Pretty good views to the south. FB faces north-ish with west-ish sighthole open only. Cap is missing and asphalt plug present. A sizeable chunk has been knocked off one top corner and a chunk is missing from one side.

Built in November 1943. Tertiary station in Block NT18, Dunfermline. Pillar VGC retaining some paint but peeling. Spider centre plugged with cement. Flush bracket faces NNW across road. RHS sighting hole open, others plugged. TP marks highest point in Dunfermline. Located at roadside with designated parking layby. Views to Keirsbeath Ridge, Hill of Beath, Lammer Law, Arthurs Seat, Allermuir Hill, Scald Law, Dumyat, Ben Cleugh, Knock Hill, Dumglow. Original visit 1985, revisited and photographed 20/05/2004, GRP.

First visit. To record FB number. The pillar was completed 1st November 1943 costing 4.19s.3d. In 1947 this pillar was computed for triangulation as tertiary station NT18/T38 in the Dunfermline secondary block. The flush bracket was levelled for height in 1959. This trig point was last maintained by the OS in April 1970. Highest point in Dunfermline.
