Arrived too late for the Rock Houses (came back the day after), so kept on going up to reach the site of Kinver Edge iron age fort with it's stunning views. Sauntered on until we reached the pillar which was hemmed in with trees and had the appearance of being in the middle of a road - such was the popularity of the cycle track either side of it. Loved Kinver Edge, the area.

Beautiful location, located on a nice walk from Kinver Edge Rock House's across the ridge. Worth carrying on along the ridge before dropping down the hill to see the other abandoned rock house's at Vale's Rock and Nanny's Rock, albeit care should be taken as potentially unsafe and off the footpath a little way in the case of Vale's Rock.

Great Location Nice views from the ridge and close proximity to the Rock Houses

Have been here several times before, but never not so I remember the date. We parked in a National Trust car park below the edge to the East of the Northern end. We walked up onto the top and visited the toposcope there - great view. We then walked along the ridge to Vale's Rock where we dropped down to return along the paths at the foot of the ridge, passing Nanny's Rock on the way. A lovely walk. 164m Me, Mum, Jon, Hadley

I'm not surprised this is a well visited trig. A misty day so I decided against heading off to the mountains and did something a little close to home. Good location. I liked the house in the roaks at the base of the hill.

The pillar appears to be a red colour and has a heavy concrete mix with large stones. The trig is easy to find - it is rightin the middle of the footpath. The top has been filled in with concrete. The walk from the car park was quite easy and we captured cache GCPZW9 on the way. Once at the topthere were some fields of rape clearly visible.

Pillar in good condition for such a popular spot. The graffiti artists have had a bit of a go at the north face. The plug has a concrete replacement and it looks as if the original tribracket has also been replaced. Quite a bit of erosion around the base, which is not surprising with all the walkers here. Lovely views eastwards towards Birmingham, Dudley, and Clent Hills. The views westwards will be obscured by silver birch trees in summer but only a few yards south of the pillar there is a gap in the trees and the views of Clee Hills are excellent! Only a few hundred yards away is the junction of the Staffordshire Way, Worcestershire Way and The North Worcestershire Path. Good spot!
