On Heart of England Way walk today. Despite low level of hill good potential sight lines in all directions. Bits chipped of the top. Centre hole plug broken and the open tube to mark filled with rubbish. FB E, open sight W. With M.

Parking on the Arden Forest Industrial Estate, then through hole in hedge, looks like the local dog walk area. pillar not bad condition for a urban area, be under threat from housing soon I suggest.

There are far more tracks in the fields than the OS map suggests so I had a shorter walk than expected, presumably thanks to local dog walkers. The pillar stills sports the white paint from 2009, but it cannot disguise the damage to the top.

As I was staying in Alcester for the annual folk festival I took a few minutes out to walk up to this T/P. The top layer of cement around the spider is missing in places (frost damage?) and the resin plug has been broken out but apart from that, it's not in bad nick. The views are not particularly spectacular.

My second Trig :D In worse condition than my previous one, which was absolutely perfect (but being beside the road the OS can obviously be bothered to look after that one!) Nice views across to Prinny's Folly (Oversley Castle) Lots of broken glass around :(

like visiting an old friend for this one having lived in both alcester and nearby great alne also went to the nearby high school,the housing estate was a pig farm the industrial estate was a market gardners and you could walk up the old railway line before it came a landfill,happy days.

Seems to have been cleaned... Tarmac cap has been 'removed', faint traces of white paint. Industrius views over Alcester, but there are views over Ragley Hall -if it's not misty as it was today when I visited. Slightly damaged? Whilst this is not "100% perfect" I've seen worse.

This pillar is on the Heart of England Way, in a field. Access is consequently easy, although there are not many views to be enjoyed.

On the Heart of England Way long-distance path. There is a concrete plug replacement; quite a few large chips out of the top surface and the burn marks from the fire are still very visible on the flush-bracket side [but the party remains have gone!]. Good views over the Roman town of Alcester and its associated industrial ephemera.

Long distance path devotees may know this one, its on two 'ways'. In a muddy field, that has not been used for any agricultural purpose lately. Good views of an industrial estate. Bits chipped off the top, a concrete plug replacement and had a fire of two lit against it. Lots of party debris as well.
