Rivet would have been destroyed when the Olympic velodrome was built. Location is now covered by one part of the external Abercrombie Loop cycling road circuit. As an aside the velodrome is an incredibly impressive building.

TP0426 Approximate position where the rivet was located.

Rivet gone; site redeveloped for the 2012 London Olympics. Lee Valley Velodrome on the site now. Parked on Abercrombie Rd to the SSE. Surprisingly quiet on the roads at 3.48am.

Track supposedly closed for Covid, though lots of bikes around. Small path has no entry sign. Site was razed and rebuilt for the Olympics. Peregrinus is probably right.

now Lee Valley Velopark and easy access. Rivet location is now a road ramp so will have been lost during earthworks (might conceivably be still there a metre or two down).

I suspect this is long gone - it is on the NE side of the Olympic velodrome. I was in the Olympic Park for the paralympics. There was no access to the location. I got within 200m.

This is in the centre of the Olympic Park development - the nearest that I got in an interesting walk around the perimeter of the development was about 300m away,at the bottom of Quarter Mile Lane. I guess we'll have to wait for the Olympics before we can visit this rivet!

Couldn't find it!! Couldn't get any where near it! - seem to be able to drive right round the site on various busy East London roads -only way in to inner area is via heavy security gates and a very grumpy guard!
