A cracking trig up the hill that is covered with memorial plaques - not sure why, but a great walk up here!

A nice morning walk with Hitman9956 up to the trig point on the path. Great views. Trig slightly damaged by people screwing various plaques into it which I'm not entirely in favour of really.

YSM221 Knockdolian. This definitely wasn't on the to do list after Ailsa Craig, however I'd been informed it was (a) a great hill and (b) had views to Ailsa Craig, so it had to be done, not really sure where I got the energy from to get there but I did, memorial to the wee dug made me feel a tad sad - I'll never forget you Charlie!

Parked opposite the house to the south east of the summit and entered the field through a gate where a signpost was pointing. Walked towards the fence and noticed another gate a bit further on. A track from here led all the way to the top. Terrific views of Ailsa craig and Arran.

P151. YSM221 Knockdolian. D1 T3.5. Parked at gate with signpost for start of walk. Went through first field of sheep and through next gate. Start of steep section. I somehow lost the track so ended up going straight up which was a lung burster. Eventually got to top. Interesting to see no flush bracket. This is now a memorial shrine to loads of people and has a solar light attached. Great views. Took the correct track down which goes through the bracken, that's why I couldn't find it on way up. Bottom field now had loads of cows in it. They just stared then done a runner. Another nice YOSM. cheers.

No change to the structure apparent, but there was some contraption stuck near to the top of one of the (near) vertical sides. Looked like some kind of light or perhaps other solar powered object, but to be honest I was paying more attention to the view: I could see Ireland!
