A fantastic spot with views of the Lake District and the estuary below. Did a circular to take in the stone circle. Definately a steep final climb with wall to get over.Considering that this trig is at 281m, the views are hard to beat for the amount of energy used up.

We parked just south of the track that leads to Swinside Farm. We followed the track almost to the farm (very impressive stone circle at Sunkenkirk) then headed south on the footpath. We accessed the pature with the trig by a wall stile (steps sticking out either side) to the north west of the trig near where the wall joins another (broken down one) heading into the valley. Good views. Tarmac plug.
