Parked at end of public road (NX 2752 8329). Walked NW on good mapped dirt road from the ford, then after ~350m turned NE to follow wall most of the way along a soggy trod/ATV track. Some minor deviation from the wall required to circumnavigate dense, wet bracken. The large mapped clearing the the pillar sits in has now been planted with conifer saplings and is rough and bad for walking over. Pillar sits on a small outcrop, no damge noted. It was constructed without a flush bracket; original centre cap retained, raised lettering; all sight holes open. No views to speak of.

Route uploaded - not too diffcult. Basically - NE up wide tussocky break (not line of telegraph poles), W along wall at top of break, N along grassy ditch, up E side wall to reach open fell. There is a gate to N of trig in wall (spot height 209) - access may be easier from track to NE but very long walk in.
