Parked at the end of the lane for Knowhead farm, plenty of room. No one around to ask for permission. Walked up the lane, through the farm and along a muddy track which leads right to the trig point. Good views to the west.

Drove to and parked at Knowhead farm to east - permission readily granted. From farm track,hole in hedge at NO 1411 3405

Drove up to last house nearest the trig past Wolfhill farm (Blairview). Asked for permission to park and visit trig which was readily granted. Easy bag, 300m walk.

Walked up track past disused quarries from Campsie direction. Through harvested field with bales, through a gap in hawthorn hedge and then up rough slope to trig.

Approached this trig from the Campsie direction, took a rough footpath under trees, thence up a large field walking in the tractor tyre furrows through young green growth to reach a tree covered knoll. Then in a north-easterly direction to find pillar beside a hedge. The earth here is a dark reddish colour,reminding me of Cornwall's soil.
