(700) S5511 - gone since 2006. Makes you wonder what happens to these pillars once they are removed.

Met a woman and a very friendly dog (which put muddy paw prints all over my legs) from the house next to the field where it once stood. She said it was removed years ago.

Another wild open space. Thanks to saginavalis I had no need to trek along the dyke as it obviously wasn't there when viewed from the bridge.

After relocating S8570 this morning, I then discovered this one's recently gone! Just a patch of recently disturbed soil (mapped as S bank of drain, but no hiding place either bank). Asked around and located farmer (Hunston House Fm), who had removed the pillar a month earlier, having consulted OS (it was subsiding & in the way). Carted away, not kept on premises. Been meaning to visit this one for a while - missed it by a month :-(

As previously noted is in good condition, but has a bit of a lean on it.

The trig itself is in good condition, but it has a distinct lean, despite being mounted on a substantial block, and a protecting wall facing the field. A couple of friendly(ish) dogs, one big, one small, from the cottage nearest the road bridge over the drain took too much interest in me as I walked back to the car. Their owner sorted it out. GR to 10m only.

TP4315 The direction of the lean suggests it has been knocked from the side away from the wall.
TP4315 Other than the lean, the condition is good.
