Walked a 12.6 km loop from Bowmore out to Gartbreck, following the coastline & tracks where visible to Laggan Point. Great view from trig point as always. Then walked down by Laggan Farm, up the farm track to the A846 and back to Bowmore.

Long very bumpy vehicle track from A846; spoke with land owner at Laggan, permission readily given. Walked just over half-mile each way to trig. Pillar in good condition; original cap in place, raised lettering; 1 sight hole open. Extensive 360deg views: Port Charlotte, Bowmore, Ireland, Mull of Oa, Rhinns etc.

S9000 yippee! Did NOT ask at farm, after all, it is just the very end of their huge front garden you walk through! Dog (spaniel) came out and chased us but we got to stile before it reached us. Great viewpoint.

Very long and unpleasant track; funny stile over wall; part of Islay's coastal walk. Had checked with farmers prior to visit.
