Easy walk up from Cargreen Quay through small woodland and field boundaries to trig- on South side of hedge, with excellent Tamar Views. Next to overhead power cables. Moored on Visitor's Buoy associated with the long- closed Crooked Spaniard Inn.

Cornwall miles are def longer than normal ones! Parked bike by gate and waked around field boundaries to trig. Good views of the river Tamar. Only two today. Had a great problem turning right on A38 going back in car. Gave up in end and turned left. Very busy road at 16:30.

Not a good technology weekend. 1st the battery on my camera fails, the phone starts to only record video and the car's sat-nav (which I used as my GPS is on the other side of the world) gives reading way out. Anyway I was here (drove most of the way up in the car as the gates were open)!

Good views over the Tamar, but somewhat spoilt by Cornwall's power supply. As a boy, I used to live on the Plymouth side of the river so it was strange to see the view from the opposite direction. GR to 10m only.

Writing this in Aug 2018. Just dug out some old maps and found notes on a few trigs I did 20 years ago!. Fondly remember this. My map notes say, "What a lovely walk! Beautiful sunny Indian Summer's day. Blackberries, great views of the Tamar. Trig in hedgerow". It's also the easternmost extant pillar in Cornwall!
