A feint path leads NW up through the Warrendale Knotts to a high point (col / bealach). From there it is a gentler climb southwest to the top. Pillar forms part of wind shelter, flush bracket not obstructed. Column in good condition. Spider centre open. Flush bracket faces NNW, ~346. South sight hole bolder blocked, others all plugged. Visited to record FB number. The pillar was completed 30th July 1949 costing 24.16s.0d. In 1951 this marker was computed as tertiary station SD96/T23 in the Skipton secondary block. Flush bracket S5521 was levelled for height also in 1951. This trig point was last maintained by the OS in June 1976. Some dipstick had left boulders forming part of wind shield against the pillar concealing the FB. Was necessary to remove some to read FB.
