Got up early this morning and thought i would bag 3 Trigs before it got too hot. Cycled up byway from just outside Gretton. The TP is in a fenced off field but the barbwire is set rather high so easy to pop under. The spider is missing but still has FB. Nice views to be had getting up here but not at the TP, its self, as the bushes block them. Met a herd of cows going to be milked on the way down. They stopped to look at me but were quite friendly. Wizzed down the hill into Winchcombe.

No paint. All sightholes open. A lot of lichen and moss on it. The plug hole was filled with a bunch of [dead] carnations! It's on a sort of 'common' not far from the disused quarry with good views S towards Winchcombe and further afield. Incidentally, if anybody is thinking of coming here soon - beware! My car and I will testify to the fact that this is a serious contended for the 2005 award for 'Muddiest Approach to a Trig Pillar'.
