Decided to find 1 geocache, 1 trigpoint and 1 hilltop during my 5 mile morning run. Hidden away in a hedge. Couldn’t see it from the path side of the hedge, so had to attack from the other field.

Walked from nearby campsite before breakfast. In several places path was obstructed by electric fences and when we eventually got to pillar flush bracket was either buried in hedge or round the other side of it - by this time had lost the will to go back round and check! View towards Malvern's nearly worth the effort!

We parked by the fork in the lane, to the north of the pillar. There is a new farm track made of sleepers but that’s not a public RoW so we walked past the house to the start of the footpath… which is. A pleasant walk across the meadow and up the hedge-line to the pillar. It’s deep inside the hedge and not easy to spot at this time of year. It’s complete with all its metalwork but appears to be leaning slightly to the left as you look at it from the path. If you can see over the hedge, the view west towards the Malvern Hills is the best.

Pillar is almost entirely in the hedge. Interesting birdsong.. yellow wagtail? Tried to get this one in Oct 2001, the path was open, but F&M paranoia was still rampant. No livestock here now.
