Approached from the SW after visiting the hill Selms Tops. Pillar is precariously perched on the edge of a ~3m drop having had a fair bit of it's rock base quarried away on 3 sides, although seems it's been in this position for the past 10 years or so. It's still viable, but unsure how stable it is. Original centre cap retained, deeply indented lettering; rear sight hole open, front plug is breached. Extensive views, north particularly good.

Along bottom of first field, then beeline route up second field. Small summit in grazing field which was excavated around 2015. Pillar in good condition but teetering on the edge of the excavation of rock. Spider retains original OS centre cap with shallow engraved lettering. Flush bracket faces SSW, compass measurement 211°. Route as Cootking. Easy walk up through two fields to reach this spectacular pillar. It felt fairly stable, and seems to be secure at the moment, but its future is surely in the hands of the local farmer and whether he can be bothered to preserve it or not. Cap in place with shallow lettering, one s/h open and another one pierced.

Is there ever a more precarious trig?... sitting on a narrow neck of rock while 96% around it had been quarried away. Farmer says he wants to level the land. Asked what he's doing with the pillar or if he'll let an enthusiast take it away, he was a bit tight lipped. 'Not decided yet. Might put it somewhere here.' So it'll be away from there sometime soon.

Good condition trig with FB facing SW-ish and only the NE-ish sighthole open. Cap present with sunken lettering. The nearby farmhouse has been renovated and is now inhabited. A lot of work also happening on the nearby poultry sheds. Access is still a single fence. However, there's been quarrying around the knoll the trig sits on. Three sides of it have been removed. For the moment it looks like they're leaving the trig alone but it could be at risk. Nice cut benchmark on the farm building. Also, really good views from here today. As far as Ben Lomond to the west.
