A long (VERY long...) walk from Geldie Lodge way down the Feshie leads up to this fine viewpoint on the western side of the Cairngorm area. It was well worth the effort, although the night's camping was somewhat wet & windy.

Cycled in from Tromie Bridge and camped to do 3 Corbetts here. Lovely weather, green hairstreaks and other butterflies. NB this may have been the start of my records of photographing trig point and FB

HISTORY: Pillar completed 15th May 1960 cost unknown. Computed as secondary triangulation station NH90/13 within the Cairn Gorms block during 1960. Levelled for height also in 1960. Last maintained by the OS in May 1977. SITE VISIT: Vanessa. Pillar with damage to top but signs of earlier repairs. Spider centre open. Flush bracket faces 311 NW. All sight holes plugged. 360 panorama from summit.

A bike ride down Glen Feshie then an easy walk along tracks/path to the summit, after tea we continued on to Carn Dearg Mor.

Stayed at Newtonmore then drove to Glen Tromie, cycled toBhran Cottage then climbed the 3 Corbetts of Meallach Mhor,Carn Dearg Mor and Leathad an Taobhain

Long but pleasant walk up Glen Feshie from Achlean to this remote Corbett. Returned over Carn Dearg Mor (Corbett) and Carn Dearg Beag.

Leathad an Taobhain Got that 'Munro' feeling about this one... I wonder if it really is only 912m?!

Back in 1983 the pillar was in good condition, and still white! Crossing from Atholl to Badenoch by the Minigaig. Deviation for the purpose of Corbett bagging. Very fine viewpoint
