Parked at start of minor road leading to Leckwith Hill Farm. Walked up road, then RoW across muddy pastures before veering N off-piste through much more mud! Pillar located in a small copse adjacent to a circular water tank at the summit of Cock Hill. It replaces an early pillar that had FB S2336. Current pillar retains original top cap, with lightly indented lettering; all sight holes closed. Pre-sunrise photos. No views.

Leckwith Hill Farm. Walked up passed the mast then 2 tricky gates to get over plus some Welsh Black cattle before walking beside apple orchard then into field with fence to get over to fine trig hidden by large fir trees.

Pillar is surrounded by a barbed-wire fience and bushes - it can just be seen through them. Having read the previous log can undersatnd the difference - took the RH gate & no stile on that side. Still looks pretty overgrown everywhere.

Satellite photos help here because the clearly visible concrete water tank is within a couple of meters of the trig. I have marked this as a five because the immediate view from the trig is poor due to obscuring trees. Walking around a bit pays off because you get a feel of what the views may once have been. The Garth Hill trig TP3324 is visible with all three burial mounds. Also nice views over the channel.

We managed to park at the end of Woodlands Lane just before the farm and where one footpath drops back down into the woods. We took the path past the mast and then followed hedge lines to the trig. We were to the east of the hedge where the trig is and this involved climbing over a pretty mean barbed wire fence. Easiest way would be to keep to the west of the hedge where some new trees have been planted. The trig is next to a suppurating concrete water tank in a thicket of young conifers. As R W says not a brilliant spot. Plug with indented lettering.
