Pillar beside an electric fence in a (unoccupied at time of visit) horse paddock. Wooden fence to be jumped to access pillar; despite very exposed urban location, I was not challenged. No views.

Parked on Buckley Road. Accessed the public right of way from Black Lane. Climbed over a fence into the trig field, which was full of horses, and then crawled under an electric fence.

I could not resist this one for my 100th extant pillar, not everyone has a pillar named after them! Walked up from the railway station, easily under the electric fence, luckily there was only one friendly horse in the pillar part of the field. I have given it 8/10 because it was a special day, not for the pillar or it's location!

Park in Buckley road .walk over a patch of grass to get over gate to trig in corner of field, horses in the distance. Blocks of flats surround the area.

Good condition pillar suffering only from some minor damage to the top screed. Located at a field edge with horses. Can be accessed from parking near the flats about 50m away. FB faces east-ish with north-ish sighthole open only. OK views east-ish.

There were a couple of pit bull terriers running riot as we pulled up to park. As we were stood by the trigpoint one ran right past us and have to admit to being rather scared!

Easy to find. Go past the garages, through the fence, turn right for 50 yards and its through the gate on the left. It has just had a coat of paint so looks in excellent codition

I drove up to the side of the road to see this trig but there were some yob types playing soccer and I didn't want to be the football so ventured no closer. Shame because I could see that the views would be nice. It's a miracle that the trig hasn't been chipped, burnt and bashed to bits as it's a bit of a poor location. 10/08/06 - Revisited and actually went right up to the trig today. No hoodie types around today so enjoyed the views a bit.

Im with iainmac,had dog in car,worrying about leaving him and managed to forget camera,by the time i got back the hoods and chavs were around so decided to leave it.Nice place.

On the edge of a housing estate, just over a gate into a field of horsiculture. Fortunately the said animals were at the other end of the field! Original plug with slightly-indented letters. All sightholes below soil level. Slight damage to top surface but in remarkably good condition considering its position.Traces of paint. Some views to the S.

Visited this one with Deego. Parked at the side of the road in a housing estate and walked the few yards to the field gate. The trig point is just the other side. It has a chunk missing from the top corner but apart from that its OK. All the metalwork is in place. Not a very inspiring location and to be honest, given its closeness to the local hooligans, I’m surprised to see it in one piece and free from graffiti.

Having baged the trig I tried to go for a walk along the footpaths marked on the map Glebe Farm, Redhouse Farm etc but there was not much evidence of the paths on the ground so eventually gave up.
