Narrow country lane, very muddy near farm, guessing it’s from cattle crossing. Pulled in by entrance to farm, walked east for about fifty meters along the road to corner then spotted pillar in field on west side of road. Rather than climb the fence, walked back to open gate into field. Limited views. Not sure which direction sight lines would have been from here. Spider and cap in place.

Trig is a very short distance from road, over a barbed wire fence or via gate (climbable) and opposite farm - initially knocked on farmhouse door for permission, no doorbell and no response to knock. Then heard farmer in tractor nearby by so asked for permission, readily given once I’d described what it was I was after and he’d given my shoes a ‘not in those shoes’ look as I really wasn’t dressed for field bagging today and this one was a bit muddy by the gate at least.

Looks to be a roadside trig from the map, but it's 3m into a rough cattle pasture. Disinterested herd of what looked like Devon rubies in the field today. Pillar retains original cap, lightly indented lettering; rear sight hole open. No views.

This poor T/P is hidden away among the nettles and fern in a obscure corner of a field near St Paul’s Walden. Access is easy as it’s only a few feet from a minor country road on the other side of the hedge. It’s complete, in good condition and aligned on the compass points. The F/B is on the east face. The view to the south-west is the only one that can be cosidered worthy of a photograph.
