(607) Removed by the landowner a number of years ago it would seem. Road narrow, and any pull-in's was a bit too rough and boggy looking to risk parking in. Stopped in the middle of the road and took a quick photo and then shot off again.

The owner of the house told me that the trig was dug out 15 years ago when the farmer removed the hedge that was once there. It could well still be in the farmers yard.......

talked to the lady who lives in the house where the footpath meets the road, she said the trig was destroyed when the farmer took up the hedge to make 2 fields into 1 ( farmer at next trig at ordsall hill confirmed this ), this was within the last 5 years.

trigpoint would have been between the 2 telegraph posts

The Explorer map 271 shows hedgelines that have definitely been ripped out, and fairly recently according to the occupant of Glynojoke Cottage and his dog Pip - a very friendly Patterdale terrier. Good views to the North East from the footpath. The OS records have an FB no of S4868.

This should be near a footpath, behind a house near Gringley Farm. However, it looks as if it has gone. The footpath is not easy to follow even though there is a signpost and a stile.
