Atrocious conditions with snow and wind. Soon at the spot and a quick find. Had excavate the hole of soil, snow and water and got a photo. Very wintery views across farmland.f

Bagged as YSM451 Bekesbourne. Armed with previous log '2" bolt about 4m from finger post, and 1m from road', I paced it out and Mr U2 spotted the depression and there it was.

rivet which is actually a bolt. Once MRS TJR did her John Cleese, I spotted the depression and it was a quick clear and photo. Loved the sign made of spanners. Cheers.

Bagged this one on the way to visit my brother, Rob. A quick look at the roadside verge confirmed that there was no sign of the surface block so it was a tape measure job from the surviving ‘large round post’ indicated on the OS Engineer’s sketch map. A few prods with an old sheath-knife soon located the concrete and it was then just a case of removing the covering ‘turf’ to reveal the bronze stud. It’s very flat here and looking North or West gave splendid views over the surrounding Kent countryside.

Spent half an hour looking through grass, dirt, weeds & heather for this poxy thing & still couldnt find it even with pictures of it's location. Bridleway sign still there but other one has long gone. Will have to try again next time i'm down there

Located at the side of the road, next to footpath sign, the large sqare post shown in both the OS picture & sketch has fallen over, so no good as marker.
