Pesky rivet took a while to spot on a concreted area with a mass of small stones just about rivet sized! Assumed I'd spot this quite easily, but I seem to have developed rivet-blindness. Had to resort to using peregrinus' measurements after which it was obvious.

Bagged as YSM673 Royal St George's. This wee rivet took a while to spot and we needed to look at previous pictures on TP:UK. No time to go down the road to bag TP25529 - RCP Pillbox, have to be one for another visit.

wow this is small and needs a sharp eye. we knew it was there as nothing much had changed since the last photos and eventually we found it. one of the men at the toll house knew about it and came over for a chat. we told him we were going to the pillbox next to see if we could find the trig point there. he warned us about the pot holes along the way. 4 paid and on to the pill box.

Found as YOSM 673. Managed to drive to the roadside location which is about 100ft from a Toll Gate but didn't have to pay. The wet weather made finding the Rivet more of a challenge but previous photos helped although the white line markings are disappearing.

Visited after a quick browse in the club shop at Royal St. Georges Golf Club. Hard to find - the man in the toll booth was very interested in a person on his hands and knees looking at the concrete!

rivet with cross mark, 38cm from edge of concrete, 72cm from where white line crosses edge of concrete. Initially found a different rivet, same size but more domed and with a centre punch mark instead. Couldn't refind but there are two in same area. Centre punch is more usual, I wonder if the cross mark river is someone else's survey marker. in dark by torch so didn't check measurements against os plan, used photos and position relative to white lines.

Parked on top of this initially so after reversing a couple of posts a couple of minutes searching so found it. Rivet less than a finger nail in size so tricky to spot although cross on top helped distinguish it

This is one of those that looks easy; not so - for three reasons. 1, the rivet is very small (one of the smallest i've seen) 2, It's the same colour as the pebbles in the concrete. 3, The sketch supplied by the OS is not accurate, as it suggests that the rivet is located between fence posts 5 & 6 (from the left) when it is actually between 4 & 5.

Miscounted posts so spent fruitless time on hands and knees, must have puzzled drivers and toll gate guy.
