(1395) Parked half on the verge just passed the Leyfields entrance. Hedge in full bloom, so it took some time before I could even spot it from the roadside to get my bearings. A handy new wooden gate is now present a little further down Red Hill Lane for easy field access. I'd already phoned ahead (01623 835431) to seek permission to visit, which was freely given. Top half of the pillar is hard to see/photograph properly due to the hedge being overgrown. Should have brought my secateurs! In overall good condition, though damage is clearly evident around the FB area. Plug is non original. Pillar history: Built on the 12th of October 1948, cost not listed in records. Last maintained by the OS in June of 1987.

Walked up through Maplebeck, Mansley Common and Eakring from the Dukes Wood pillar. Came down the private drive from Leyfields not to be recommended there is a very substantial electrically operated gate at the bottom of the drive which is very difficult to get round. Managed to squeeze through the hedge into the trigpoint field through a gap behind the Leyfields sign. There are several signed permissive bridleways on the lane between the trigpoint and Eakling that are not shown on the map one goes east above Lound Wood. This could have been used instead of the private road with the high security gate on my route.
