Parked off the B7040 then crossed road and down shooting track to deep ford and wet feet. Continue up shooting track to Glen Ea's Hill, then Dun Law before a steep diversion to include Dungrain Law before returning to Dun Law. Continued along to Lousie Wood Law via White Law then returned to car via Leadburn Rig and the deep ford.

Followed the former railway from Elvanfoot to the foot of White Hill then slogged up to the summit. Returned to the car via Coupland Gair and Watchman Hill (quite a few of these in the valley). Good circular walk, forgot the sun cream so got burnt again.

Parked at Elvanfoot Church and came up the quad tracks starting behind the church over Watchman Hill. Easy going underfoot and just follow the fence line up the long ridge. Blowing a gale today from the north with squalls of sleet and 0.5cm diameter hail at times. Visibility superb, however with big 360 degree views. FB north-ish, all sightholes open but blocked internally, cap missing with no plug. Pillar seems in good condition.

Secondary station in Block NS83 Lanark. Pillar completed 23rd June 1950, cost 51.12s.6d. Difficult to tell anything in the horizontal blizzard at arctic temperatures up here today. Impossible to operate camera for more than a few seconds at a time due to chill factor. My already wet hair actually froze on top. Trig pillar seemed in good order. Spider centre open. FB faces nominally NNW but like the temperature, the visibility was also subzero. Followed quadbike tracks from elec substation by Elvanfoot. Due to the easterly blizzard the pillar (showing FB side) could only be photographed from NNE.

An easy walk. Parked at Elvanfoot church and walked via Electricity sub station then along old railway track bed before turning left alongside boundary fence running up to summit. Returned via Dun Law and Kneesend to join road at Glenochar. Walking underfoot is easy with short cropped grass virtually all the way.
