Difficult to get to this Trig, I located it in a field containing livestock at the time, it was viewable from the public footpath, but the field is well fenced and would require permission from the farmer to get a closer look at it. A lovely walk and fantastic views and scenery none the less.

So far away from me... So far, I just can't see...

Last morning of a break cycling and trigging around Hereford. Easy trig to spot, though the access path from Lyde Cross Hamlet hidden by undergrowth. To get to the trig, had to climb over couple of barbed wire fences but then move off sharpish when dogs began barking in adjacent field followed by car engine. Good views W of Welsh Hills and especially E of Malvern (?) Hills. Great white paint job, thanks to those who do it!

Pillar in good condition; 1 sight hole open; cap missing, no plug. Views E to Malverns, S to high ground round Forest of Dean, N and W obscured by field boundaries.

I came up here to pass some time whilst waiting for a train connection in Hereford. At first I thought that the hedge was going to be impenetrable but I soon found a way through just past the stile to the northeast.

The best view seems to be from the highest point of the footpath

Revisit. This time i did reach the pillar by going through the hedge gap & over a fence. Nice views across Herefordshire to Seagar,Backbury & Malverns Hills. Worth a 6 if not for the tricky access.

A tricky one this. About 50 yards off the public path so some nifty footwork through the brambles, limbo-dancing under a leaning hawthorn and a quick nip over the barbed-wire fence resulting in a gashed hand. All par for the course! Central plug missing but otherwise in good condition. Good firm base. Very good views over the flooded Wye and Lugg valleys and over Hereford.
