Pull-in for 1 car at NO 1013 2028. Signed RoW to all but the last 100m or so. Pillar has lost its central cap, no plug; RHS sight hole open, the other 3 were sealed but all of their plugs are degrading. Views not noted, but it was drizzly.

Approach from S along good track. Rain, pretty good views though far distant views were in mist. Cattle at hill top - no problems however. Open spider.

Bagged at dusk, totally dark by the time I got back to the car but I spent too long looking for the geocache in the gorse! Accessed from the road to the south up the mapped track. Easy-ish walk up and through the gate into the field.

Good condition pillar atop Mailer Hill. FB faces north-ish with all sightholes open except north-ish. No cap or plug present. Good views considering the size of the hill. Accessed from the road to the south up the mapped track.

Walked up the well used trackway from Craigie Knowes - loads of dogs & dog-walkers about - watch your step... the pillar is in good condition, open cap. Fine views all round.

Mast country, but getting far enough away from the motorway to have a peaceful feel. Walked up from Magdelene Hill. Cattle in rough field around the trig. Cover had been stolen.

First attempt to log a Trig Point, came across it by accident whilst hunting a cache. We were interested, so found your site. Injoyed the veiw and will keep looking out for more trig points.

Grazing top occupied by long haired bullocks. Pillar VGC. Spider centre now open. Checked my handwritten log for 1991, the OS plug was definitely extant then. FB faces 4, north. Back & RHS sighting holes open, LHS part open, front plugged. View includes Binn Hill, East Lomond, West Lomond, Balmanno Hill, Craig Rossie, Craig Obney, Bandirran Hill, Kings Seat, Kinnoull hill, Moncreiffe Hill. S6012 built 6th April 1950. Secondary station in Block NO02, Perth. Photographed 1/10/2005, GRP.

First visit. To record FB number. The pillar was completed 6th April 1950 costing 13.10s.8d. In 1951 this marker was computed for triangulation as secondary station NO02/13 in the Perth block. Flush bracket S6012 was levelled for height also in 1951. This trig point was last maintained by the OS in October 1982. Spider retains stamped font plug. No photos taken.
