Walked from Forestry NE of Cilycwm, across Mynydd Mallaen to TP Crugiau Ladies, then back to this TP. Beautiful late-November weather (T-shirt & shorts). Superb views S to Brecon Beacons. Dropped down NW to cross Nant y Rhaeadr. Climbed again to join NE side of forestry, and forest trails back to car. Great walk. (Agree with Dusty's comments re non-existent path. I chickened out of that route!)

Walked from Crugiau Ladies (TP2659). Then back to car via Rhaiadr Waterfall. The track from the forestry on my map to the top of the waterfall does not exist. A very steep climb down to the forest road was a bit hairy to say the least.

Another visit to my favourite area of Wales.Pared to the S ofHome Farm near Cilycwm. Footpath across fields then skirt woodland. Once you reach a track turn East for 50m then N up a grass path to access open hillside. A fairly good path leads across open ground to the pillar.
