Half a mile west of Milford on Sea along the B3058, car park on the left, south, of the road about 400 metres inland from the Cliff. Footpath quite overgrown but well used by people going to the beach. When reaching coast path head east and uphill. At the top, pillar visible to the left inside a field with a barbed wire fence. Just grassy field at the time. Excellent views across the Solent towards The Needles and west across to Hengistbury Head, Poole Bay and the Purbecks beyond. Take care along the path when admiring the views, undercutting from the sea is eroding the path. Pillar is about a hundred metres away from the cliff edge so should be ok for a few more years.

The pillar appeared to have a slight lean and it has a few small chunks missing from a bottom corner. The base is exposed by about six inches. It has FB S2711 and its spider has an asphalt plug. The trig has a good coastal view to the south. Hurst Beach and the downs of the Isle of Wight could be seen to the east.
