First successful log since February 2014. Easy to find with the sketch and photos under a couple of inches of loosysoil. Left lightly covered

Visited on return home to Wilts after doing some Herefordshire HuMPs. Found easily with OS sketch, although it was barely covered. Dug out a little encroaching soil/grass etc.

Easy to find following previous hunters directions which was a nice change for a surface block. All looks to be in good order. :)

Note metal gully cover in N kerb of B road. Looking from road, it's 1m R (uphill) of this gully, 3.5m back from kerb. Had a thin covering of grass but not buried. Look for a tussock of grass, not an excavation.

No luck! Thought I was being clever by checking where the crib was on the road with Google maps before hand; get there and find that they've resurfaced!! Rabbit/mole holes everywhere, couldn't find the trig - better luck next time!

About 3" of soil have accumulated since Ianmac's visit, so I had to use the OS sketchmap and the trusty trowel to dig this out, which I eventually did so it's currently exposed for all to see. On side of road - don't park in the Beefeater carpark as it's pay-and-display! No significant views.

I had tried and failed to find this one early last year, before I had discovered the links to the OS diagrams but had not logged the visit confident that I would try again some day. Having seen that Glaslyn had made a recent visit my parasitic tendencies got the better of me and I pulled in for an easy bag. Still uncovered but with nettles encroaching.

Just off the end of the M50, ideal quickie for those trips to and from South Wales/Midlands. It was buried, but easily found thanks to the crib painted on the road. Care taken not to uproute the violets growing here.
