Grubby white-painted pillar sits on a narrow woodland path accessible from a gate halfway along the fieldside footpath, or from beside the stile at the end. Pillar is a bit big for the path, but is still passable. Concealed location denies it a view, but there are some great ones all along the fieldside path.

The Backbury Hill – Bunker’s Hill – Marcle Hill 3 TP walk. From Bunker’s Hill I took the track directly down the lane rather than take the footpath onwards. Big mistake - the gate out to the lane was impossible to get over, in the end I forced my way through the hedge. Lane to Woolhope Cockshoot, footpath along first section of Marcle Hill (a true narrow ridge) and then on to the main hill. From the field a superb view of the Malvern Hills; from the TP in the woodland behind no view of anything. Followed footpath down from TP to lane just N of Sapness House, then very quiet lanes (two vehicles in 45 minutes) back to Broadmoor Common via Woolhope. All in all six and a half hours out and far more gruelling than I expected.

I'm glad I chose the route along the ridge rather than the path up from the west which looked very steep. Great views from the ridge today. It was so warm today I had to put the air con on when I got back to the car and its December - all this global warming - that would be because I am using the car with the air con on.

This was a fantastic walk to the trig on the most perfect summers day. Terrific views of the Malverns. There's a footpath either side of the hedge and of course I took the wrong one to start with.

After the views on dinedor this with an anticlimax. An easy enough walk in from a car park around agri fields but the trig is in the woodland and no real views

A nice walk up from a marked car park. A lovely ridge walk with a sharp tree covered edge to the West. Amazing views in all directions when at a gap in the trees Could see the Brecon Beacons, the Malverns, and the Wrekin. The first walk of three Trig visits today. Beautiful weather. Me, Mum, Jon and Hadley.

The views were a bit further away

Good east facing views but summit a bit disappointing in trees and there's not the feeling of a high ridge that the map suggests. Some good pubs nearby (e.g. Woolhope) and beautiful countryside to the west.
