One of three trigs bagged as I drove from Derby along the A52 for a day of trig bagging in The Peak District. This was the first. It was good to see the developers had not destroyed this pillar but I couldn't help feeling it looked unloved. It is in generally good condition and retains the original centre for the spider.

(1921) Nice to come across these curios from time to time, and glad another pillar has survived the transformation of its location. To be found on a section of grass separating #23 from #25 Cricklewood Road. All is good in terms of condition. Pillar history: Built on the 20th of April 1947, at a cost of £7 2s 1/2d. Last maintained by the OS in March of 1974.

1/6 on afternoon trip to Derby to see da Vinci drawings. Worra trig. Still there on a patch of grass (a triangle...accidental or coincidental...) between two driveways of 23 and 25. Would have been views W over roofs if it wasn't for trees. Got quizzical looks from builders working at 23, but who cares. On to Skitteridge trig.

In the front garden of 23 Cricklewood Road. Which is open and not surrounded by a fence or hedge, so very easy to photograph and 'hug' if necessary without intrusion. They don’t come much easier than this.

decided to visit this one after my night shift,normally log trigs on a long walk so felt i was cheating by driving right up to it!you get an amazing view of it on the approach up the hill and it felt wrong having it on a housing estate but i guess it wasnt like that originally,having my own tp in my front garden would be like winning the lotto!!jammy beggars,dont think they appreciate it though,can i have it?

Have visited and passed this Trigpoint for years and it never fails to amuse me .I used to live at Mackworth and posted flyers when the shops opened on Prince Charles Avenue ,,about 50 years ago.The builders next door maybe think the photos im taking are of their efforts better move on.

This was a strange one really, walked from home to this one, and it was a surprise really because it was located on a piece of grass between to drive on Cricklewood Road, nice find as i have never been to it.

This is the fifth trig point I have found on my travels that is in someone's garden - lucky beggars! This one is in good condition. The original plug is there - slightly-indented letters. Traces of paint. N/S sightholes open, others closed. Concrete base is exposed up to 12" all round. No views except for the houses - but if it were me, I'd have painted it white with a black FB with gold numerals and have got a flower bed around it......

Intact and good shape - a survivor. Usually housing estates kill trigpoints, but this one made it to be a feature in the front garden of number 23.
