Drove up the general military road (towards Trinafour) and parked by the edge of the forest, easy walk following grassy flat but wet path right up to the trigpoint. Some decent views to the north and forest of Atholl

Trigpoint easy to access via grass path to the west.

Cap missing. First trig in over 3 months due to a bad knee injury curtailing my activities. Warm humid day. Found it a bit of a slog but my knee coped well with the grassy uneven terrain. Had to walk from Dalncardoch along the road as the road is closed to vehicles at the Dalncardoch bridge whilst the bridge is rebuilt. If you want to park at the end of the track over the next few months you'll need to go via Trinafour. Open views..

Easy, gentle, relaxed ascent to this trig through frequently squelchy boggy areas. Lots of lovely white wood anemones sprinkled along the track; also up near the pillar brilliant spongy red sphagnum moss. This 'living carpet' can soak up more than eight times its own weight in water. I think I can do that. Felt really good up here today, with all round magnificent views (for very little effort) in this spongy wonderland. Pillar has open cap and one sight-hole open. And then: chips in Aberfeldy - what a day.

Parked next to the cattle grid at the new gates. Think a new plantation will be going in here soon but not near the trig. Followed the quad track from here up to the trig

Cap missing. Great views on a fine evening. Car radio reports A9 closed at Dalwhinnie. Sat nav suggests a route via Braemar to Aviemore so I decided to visit this trig in hope road clears.

Parked near the end of the track and headed up to trigpoint. Easy enough but very boggy and deep in places, Hamish thought he could bog surf which meant one of us had to go in and retrieve all three dogs, up to my waist nearly! Trig on the other side of the fenceline to track but there is a gate a few hundred meters before the trigpoint.
