My Corbett #56, Rosie's 55th. In retrospect, wondering what on earth possessed me to drag the dog up here in these conditions...made a rising traverse up from the end of the woods of Kirkton Glen till I hit what the thought was the summit, and in poor visibility I searched in vain for the TP, and gave up, and headed south dropping altitude...until the hill started to rise again...I'd initially hit the summit of Cam Chreag. Discovering the TP on the summit I'd been aiming for was one of my most satisfying moments of all my mountain bagging exploits in Scotland! Added to which, I managed to take what I think is the best photo of any TP I've ever taken...

Starting point was the cemetery. A good climb upto Meall An T-Seallaidh trigpoint then over to Meall an Fhiodhain and last hill was Leum an Eireannaich before dropping down to the loch and then into Kirkton Glen. Fantastic few hours up here.

Two corbetts from Lochearnhead via Glen Kendrum. The track runs up to the coll between both. Did Meall an t-Seallaidh first, going up initially steep slopes via Cam Chreag, with a few remnants of snow to cross. Corbett no.28. No.29, the craggier Creag Mac Ranaich would soon follow.

Beautiful day...above a temperature inversion. I am logging this in 2020 but I have a clear memory of the delight in climbing out of the gloomy glen and getting above the cloud. I did have some good photos too which I though I had to a system failure but a day after I logged this I found some in an obscure mobile folder. I also climbed Creag Macranaich at the same time.

Pillar looking weathered but in good condition, retaining some paint. The phantom spider robber has visited taking more than they came with, leaving the centre hole open to the elements. RHS sighting hole open, other three plugged. Flush bracket faces 143, southeast. There was no view today as the cloud was down on us. Normally there should be cracking views all round including Ben Vorlich (Coire Garbh), Stuc a' Chroin, Ben Ledi, Stob Binnein and Ben More. S6962 built 27th May 1952 costing 50.6s.0d. Secondary station in Block NN61, Callander. Photographed 20/05/2006, GRP.
