Managed to squeeze the car off the road at NH848531 where there is an old gate into an arable field. Through this to the bottom where the bridge over the burn is. Easy from here. Horses in the trig field.

Decided to bag the pillar on my way home from Nairn. Parked up just after the bend instead of at the junction as there is plenty of room to get the car tucked away off the road. Worked out for the better anyway as it meant I was a lot closer to the gate into the fields so shortened the walk a bit. Approached the pillar from the field to the east of it, through gate from road then over 2 ends of the same gate to cross a barbed wire fence. From there over a wooden footbridge and along the gorse-lined path and then over one more gate and then up the slope and along the ridge to the pillar. Nice and easy and was soon at the pillar. The pillar is in good nick and the cap is still there!

Approached from the south following field boundary then bridge over stream to foot of low bank. A short sharp ascent through bramble and flowering gorse to reach the path along the bank top and the trig point. An excellent siting on the Kildrummie Kames, a series of low ridges and damp hollows, the remnants of braided Eskers formed by glacial melt water.

Thought this one might be a nightmare as one of the previous logs on TP:UK said it was one of the hardest they had ever found..... However we took the fence line and over the two gates, across the wee bit of mud, up onto the ridge and followed a well trodden path along to the trig, not too much gorse and trig is in a nice wee clearing. Not much of a view but another one in the bag.

Log #57. I was dreading visiting this one, but it was really easy. From the road, follow the fence down towards the burn and you will see a path that leads along the top of the ridge to the trig. [ExP-55/MiP-0/BM-2]

Without question the most difficult I have ever tried to find. Got it on my second visit in two days. The gorse is well over 6 feet high in places and I lost a fair amount of blood fighting through it. I eventually discovered the trig is more easily accessed from the North side. I approached from the road to the South across the field following the wall to the South West side of the trig, across the bridge then slightly to the right and diagonally over the rise to the pond (more like a swamp when I was there) then East a bit and approach the trig from the North. Sounds easy eh?? Only discovered later this is pretty much the same as Clochandighter's route.
