Walked from Pengover Green village along road passing Manor Farm. To a open field gate on the left which give you access to the east side of the hedge up to the trig, change to the west side through a large gap half way up. The trig point is easier to get to on this side. The trig is not in a great location hiding in the hedge.

Easy walk up from gate at SSE of trig. It has been bashed about by hedging m/c but otherwise in good order.

Followed michandshane's instruction. You know whats its like, you're doing something that's not quite right, and then a deer startles you. Not sure who moved fastest! As iniamac said "its a trig too far". Hats off to peregrius must have the hide of a rhino.

Sorry - not going in there

We parked near Pengover Farm and took the second gate along the lane (to keep out of view) and then crossed into trig field by a gate half way up the hedgeline. Shane didn't go past this gate because of the very large bullocks (as Ian says). The pillar is overgrown with the FB facing south, parallel to the hedge. I couldn't get up to inspect the plug as I was surrounded by bullocks and it was very overgrown. I retreated back to Shane with bullocks following and we made our escape.
