2/2. Parked on the common and walked up via Cefn Bola-Maen. Trig sat overlooking amazing little lake - Llyn Dwr. Views of the Beacons and Fans. Danger area flag just visible in the distance. Trig is in good condition with spider and FB intact.

2/4 From hamlet of Llanfihangel Nant Bran with its chunky church with unusual hip roofed tower and village hall used as a CP in the LDWA 1989 100miler. Took good track/bridleway NE to high ground then across firm moorland to pillar.

Second for the day, met a few farmers sorting their sheep on quads, very friendly and happy with us being there. Trig in good condition but Cap/plug is missing. Flush Bracket and Spider in place. Painted white, a little worn now, and sitting on a square base. Quite a few midges around today probably down to the nearby Llyn Dwr -Water Lake! Again good open 360, silent, views.

Approached from Cefn Bola-Maen via pleasant green tracks. Lots of artillery noises from the Sennybridge Ranges en-route.

From Blaendyryn on RoW to Garreg Fawr hill, then over rough tussocky ground to the trig. Pillar vgc although has no top cap or plug; rear sight hole open. Sitting on a low plinth in the middle of no-where. Nice remote feel about this one. Misty panoramic views.

Parked at the end lane by Cerrigeithon Farm. Saw farmer and as long as the lane wasn't blocked he was happy and dogs on lead. Lovely walk up with stunning views all around

Walked from Cefn Bola-Maen, lovely walk on soft grass with wonderful views of Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. Pillar in good condition with slight cracking on a big plinth, with metal plug.

The pillar if highly visible and easily accessible from tracks and footpaths. I came on to this one from Cefn Bola-Maen and what a lovely walk it was too. Everything in good order. Lovely remote area with some wonderful views.

Pleasant walk in fron the dead end minor road to the south east.Good expansive views of the Brecon Beacons , Black mountain and the military ranges at Eppynt.Distant sounds of gunfire from these accompanied me on my walk! Disturbed a Heron on Llyn Dwr. Pillar in good shape .

large plinth in open moorland a fair distance from any road. Access from South is quite good unrutted bridleway ideal for a mountain bike but not when the wind is in your face as mucha s today :-)
