The map showed a footpath leading uphill from the car park to the trigpoint. I should have paid more attention to the density of the contour lines! After one of the steepest climbs so far in search of a trigpoint, I found the pillar on the edge of a clearing on top of the down. The views were rather restricted by surrounding trees.
