Started walk at Whiteknowes through to Loch Scalloch and finished at Changue house. Extremely boggy in parts where forestry roads weren’t present.

From Craigenreoch trig following fencelines across Polmaddie Hill and Pinbreck Hill. Once through the gate at Pinbreck Hill the ground got noticeably rougher and deteriorated further as I progressed towards the pillar via Cairn Hill and Fell Hill. The Awful Hand fells are just visible above the trees at the trig.

Came out as far as Cairn Hill from Nick of the Balloch road and decided to come on over to here. Pillar sits in an open area of bad tussocky ground. Built without a flush bracket. Centre cap retained, raised lettering. No damage seen and sight holes not checked. No views to speak of.

P Changue lower CP and took the long way round via Knockeen, Larg Hill, Cairn Hill & Fell Hill. Roughish going from Fell Hill. Back via Drumneillie Hill. Fair bit of moss on it. Crack still there, but not threatening.

Parked up at Barr and walked up via CHangue path. Track excellent until the end of the track and then very deep bogs (mid thigh in places!) until I hit the slope - easy going underfoot then. On the return I tried to push through the forest but it was very hard work. Cracking views from the trigpoint.

Accessed from NE (Brandy Well - good lay-by) as a detour from a round of 5Ds - Craigenreoch, Pinbreck and Haggis Hill (all supplied with excellent ATV track along fence lines) until Haggis Hill where track stops due to steep descent from hill to Balloch Burn. Mid Hill is best approached from the summit of Cairn Hill (a TUMP - NX307908) where a good ATV track leads from its summit all the way to Mid Hill trig. The section between Pinbreck Hill and Cairn hill is rough

Horizontal crack around trig at 2/3 height. Metal cap, wide raised letters. Built without FB. In large clearing, wide view. Long way from the road: main vehicular access is from SE, with locked FC gate immediately N of White Clauchrie. Track from Mark (to SW) is rough. Variety of rides lead from track beside Loch Scalloch.
