A short uphill stroll from the NT car park. The view is quite something up and down the Bristol Channel. Both Severn Bridges are visible, as are Steep Holm and Flat Holm, and Cardiff Bay and the hills of South Wales opposite. FB faces approximately S; all sightholes open; top plugged with asphalt. The rain came in as we were exploring the "Mound" to the west so we called it an evening and returned to the shelter of the car! Photos to follow...

Fabulous day! Views right across to South Wales, Steep Holm, Flat Holm, Sand bay and Weston-s-Mare. The pillar is splendidly white with an ashphalt plug replacement. All sightholes are open. The flush bracket is one of those with a 'high S' above the number. The base of the '2' and '6' have been chipped away. Concrete plinth around the base is exposed all round between 6 and 8 inches. magnificent spot! Off now to find the Point of View geocache.

There are some lovely views from this trig point and it is relatively easy to get to, with a fotpaht running right past it. This pillar is well worth a visit.
