4th of the day. Made a mess of approaching this one. Approaching from the south, followed a path which turned out to be very overgrown and probably not used for time. This resulted in me going the long way round (Rockhill and Boy Lane). Had to climb over a gate into a horse field. Interesting pillar, it's part of the fence line. Quick selfie then back to Low Moor train station. A great day of trigging.

Found on a circular run in the area, along with the Trig at Delf Hill. This one's in a field just off the road and was accessed by a climb over a gate.

Short detour on way home from Brighouse parkrun. Bagged from road as gate padlocked and keeping to my own rules of not trespassing when so close to road/civilisation.

(2098) Handy small pull-in at the location. Not quite roadside, as others have stated, but close enough. Immediate area a bit of a fly tipping hotspot. Pillar has been incorporated into a fence - around 2011/12 for that - and as the FB faces into the field, a quick clamber over the gate is necessary. Field used for horses, but it was empty today. Pillar in good condition, though the centre cap is non original. Pillar history: Built on the 18th of August 1947, at a cost of £5 19s 6d. Last maintained by the OS in June of 1986.

Very easy to bag, as it has been incorporated into a paddock fence. I parked in the very handy pull-in for the field, and as the gate was already open, it was the work of a moment to nip in and bag the pillar. It sits on a concrete plinth, in excellent condition. Plenty of litter and debris all around, but the trig commands a fine position here.

Locals having a bonfire with some laughing gas. Lovely.

Easy parking next door, wasn't sure about going into the field because of the large horse hanging over the fence!, while waiting the horse owner arrived and opened the gate, permisson given and horse removed :) pillar good condition, no view today as fairly thick fog/pollution.

Log #36. (165m). By Bus 620 to Bierley, then 0.4 km walk to trig site. Had to hop over low barbed wire fence for access, sharing field with horses. Good views to the SE with Emley Moor Mast visible through the haze at 164 degrees and 15.5 km distance. Nice chilly day.

In field near a gate with enough space to get car off road for a few minutes. Located by map reading and TomTom (which at one point tried to send us down a no-through road). Interesting location - rural one side, industrial the other.

Relatively easy access. In field adjacent to road. Long legs need to pass over barbed wire to actually reach the pillar.Well preserved with plastic plug top.

This was an emotional day; our first visit to Valley Parade since the fire of 1985 when two of Lincoln's supporters died and some twenty odd of Bradford's. Peter Jackson laid a wreath at the start and it was all very poignant. The memories of that afternoon are too awful to note here and the result [they beat us 2-1 in the 90th minute] was almost an irrelevancy. Anyway, this pillar is probably the closest to the ground; it's easily accessible just a quick climb over a gate watched by some curious horses. Plug has a plastic replacement. N sighthole open, others closed. Concrete base exposed all round. Good views S/W. On edge of pasture field.
