Decent tracks up from the Earn car park but as the tracks are not as marked on the Landranger maps could have done with more information boards. Very popular with dog walkers and witnessed one individual bagging the mess and then deliberately dropping the bag. Idiot. Pillar in a great location only slightly spoiled by traffic noise from the M90 below.

This area is managed by the Woodland Trust, but seems to be a magnet for dog walkers. Tip-toed through the many dog walkers and their generous dog droppings; noted a number of those plastic doggie-do bags by the wayside & hanging on trees. Fortunately, none of the dog walkers had walked to the top so had the two wonderful hillforts to myself. Pillar fine, asphalt filled cap with one sight hole open.
